Tube design

There is a difference between a vacuum tube and a discharge tube. The vacuum tube is evacuated of gases while the discharge tube contains gas such as neon or xenon where these gases have the purpose of providing photon emission.

We make use of a Kenotron alike diode tube made up of one needle cathode in the center while the anode is two 90° faces at the periphery of the tube. The left and right anodes act as capacitors alternating at MHz frequency by a MOSFET switch circuit.

The vacuum reactions result in electrons and photons. The electrons are collected at the anodes. The photons escape the tube through the non-anode space between the anodes as the tube internals are enclosed inside an optically transparent quarts tube.

Electric energy is generated by two means:
1. vacuum reaction result in highly energetic electrons charging capacitors for driving the electronic circuit.
2. vacuum reaction result in photons for power generation in a photovoltaic semiconductor for external use.
