Step 4. Tailing Edge

At the square wave tailing edge the voltage potential drops in the tube so that electrons that have not made it to the anode will lose velocity. Once the burst is over some electrons are left in the void and will at a slower pace find the way to the anode.

This sequence result in game over for this electron burst cycle.
